How GiveKrate works
GiveKrate matches donated goods to specific, current needs — it doesn't handle money, and it doesn't take a cut of anything donated.
What GiveKrate does
Organizations post specific in-kind needs — an item, a quantity, and where and when to drop it off. Donors search and find needs near them. GiveKrate connects the two; the donation itself happens directly between donor and organization.
What GiveKrate doesn't do
GiveKrate doesn't process payments, hold donated goods, or verify the condition of a donation — that responsibility stays with the donor and the receiving organization directly.
Who can post a need
Organizations are onboarded directly by the GiveKrate team, not through open self-signup — see Request access for how that works.
